Greetings Ohio Trapshooters!

With the end of fall weather and the beginning the Ohio winter, trapshooting will slow down and sometimes almost stop, depending on the weather.  For many Ohio  shooters, this means it is time to go where the weather is much warmer.  Unfortunately, most of us will have to stay in the north country and hope for some breaks in the weather long enough to get in some shooting.

In any case, it’s a good time to get all of the things done that will be needed in the spring- load shells, get that new gun, or improve on the old one.  This can be a lot of fun, too.

Also, it is a good time to plan where we are going to shoot in 2010.  While the big shoots, like the Ohio Zone and the Ohio State Shoot are on our "must do" list, don’t forget our smaller clubs.  Those that are close to home provide us the opportunity to get in those needed targets and help us get ready to do our best at the big shoots.  Without the small local clubs, we would lose this opportunity to tune up and be ready.  So, please help support our smaller clubs as they provide a great service to Ohio shooters.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Happy and Prosperous New Year, as well as a great 2010 shooting year.
